his time of the year is one of my favourites on the west coast; flowers are blooming, the weather is (or should be) getting warmer, days are getting longer, and everyone is generally in a far better mood than they have been during the dreary winter months. Warmer months also means the lines between our indoor and outdoor spaces get blurred. So now is the perfect time to be thinking of those spring and summer updates for your homes and, yes, this year, I’m adding in wardrobes.

Spring and Summer Wardrobe Updates with the Gap’s VIP Event

First, there’s almost nothing better than getting a sale on your wardrobe updates. Especially when the sale is from a quality retailer whose been around for decades. The quality retailer is, you guessed it, the Gap, and they are underway with their VIP Event! Their VIP Event is insane. Don’t believe me? Start by inputting code: GAPVIP for 40% off, then add PERK for another 10%, AND then add ADD10 for ANOTHER 10% off (valid until April 30, 2023).

My outfit below is exclusively Gap, and absolutely perfect for hosting a warm-weather gathering at your house. The dress is so lightweight, comfortable, and super forgiving if you want to overindulge in whatever you might be serving up that night. The dress  is also so wildly chic, I think you’d be the best dressed at the party! The sandals are a slip-on gold metallic sandal making it easy to go inside and outside while being able to take your shoes on and off. Now the straw tote, you may not necessarily need at your party, but if you were off to someone else’s party you’d sure need it. No doubt this is going to be my go-to summer bag.

I have everything linked below, plus a few other dresses I’ve been eyeing and will be snagging as part of the sale!

Spring and Summer Dining Room Updates

This year, I’m heavily focusing on updating my dining room so it is getting the most attention for my spring updates. I’m talking new faux blooms that will last me (obviously, they are faux!), lighter vessels and vases to display on the table, s well as a linen tablecloth and napkins. I’m keeping it all neutral, but making sure it still feels light, airy and fresh. What is certainly helping my light, airy, and fresh cause is my brand new floor mirror that I am still swooning over daily. It’s added so much brightness to the room and honestly makes it feel about ten thousand times larger. I cannot get enough. I’ve linked it all below for you.

Other Easy Warmer Month Updates

As always there are so many other affordable updates you can make in your home to welcome to the warmer weather. I’m talking about swapping out any heavy blankets for lighter linen blankets (because anyone who doesn’t think you need blankets in the warmer weather is certainly incorrect!). You can also change your art prints. I have the Frame TV and love changing up the art seasonally there. If you don’t have the Frame TV, you can take a framed print and just change it! Finally, my absolute favourite thing to do is to swap the scents I’m diffusing or burning via candles in my home. Spring means citrus, light, and fresh. Save that ginger and clove for next year and let’s bring on the brightness.
